Pfannenberg is a manufacturer of products for thermal management of electrical enclosures. In business for over 60 years, their products groups are filter/fans, air conditioners/cooling units, air-air heat exchangers, air-water heat exchangers, water-water heat exchangers, chillers, heaters, thermostats and hygrostats.
The Pfannenberg Filter/Fan units circulate filtered ambient air though the enclosure to protect the critical electrical components within the enclosure from overheating. As passive products, these are appropriate only where the ambient temperature is less than the temperature to be maintained inside the enclosure. They can only be used where the ambient air is relatively clean. They have limited cooling capacity.
The other Pfannenberg product groups mentioned above, are more active means for maintaining the interior temperature of the enclosure. They are all closed-loop systems, in which the interior air of the enclosure is 100% separate from the ambient air. Selection of the appropriate group is dictated by the ambient, available resources, and the extent to which cooling within the enclosure is required.
Pfannenberg heaters and respective controls are to mitigate the damaging impact of high humidity on critical electrical products within the enclosure. Pfannenberg offers both new units, as well as replacement parts for older, existing units.
