Hyde Park Electronics has been a manufacturer of ultrasonics sensors since 1958. They were a family- owned business, located in Dayton, OH. Their primary product focus was ultrasonic sensors. Hyde Park Electronics developed the most sophisticated and the most functional products in the industry. The functionality was either configured by the customers using a Hyde Park field configurator to resolve the application needs, or it was specified at the time of purchase by part number in the case of the non-field configurable products. The name Hyde Park is, and remains, well respected and preferred by some of the largest users in the automated industry. Excel Automation was excited to receive the Hyde Park line in June 1995. Excel Automation was last recognized by Hyde Park Electronics as being their largest Authorized Distributor world-wide.
On 5-15-2003, Schneider Electric purchased Hyde Park Electronics. For the next 18 years, the quality name of Hyde Park was retained, given its popularity and preference by our customers. In recent years, Schneider Electric has gradually transitioned the Hyde Park name over to Telemecanique, a global name for the Schneider Electric’s line of sensors. The Telemecanique brand is at this time, primarily associated with the newer products that have been introduced, while the legacy products are still offered and associated with the Hyde Park brand.
