About Hyde Park
Shop by BrandExcel Automation LLC has been an Authorized Distributor of numerous products for Industrial Automation for 30 years.
It is headquartered in Brunswick, OH.
In November, 2017, Excel Automation acquired Eagle Sensors & Controls, an Authorized Distributor of similar products for Industrial Automation. Eagle Sensors & Controls is a Division of Excel Automation. Eagle Sensors & Controls has been in business for 41 years, and has offices in Lenexa, KS. and St. Louis, MO. The synergy of this union of these two, experienced companies serving the industrial market, is a significant benefit to our combined customer base.
Our sales staff are thoroughly trained on the products, and knowledgeable about their capabilities. This experience allows us to solve some of the most challenging applications in the industry.
Hyde Park is a manufacturer of ultra-sonic sensors. They have been in business since 1958, and are located in Dayton, OH. Unlike photo-electric sensors, ultra-sonic sensors sense all colors equally well, operate reliably in dirty/dusty environments, have a comparatively wide viewing angle, and hold their window limits in space quite precisely.
These sensors are offered in both proximity as well as through-beam models. Hyde Park proximity sensors confirm product presence by receiving a return echo from the product itself. The sensing range of the proximity sensors is from 2 mm to 26 feet. Hyde Park proximity sensors include models with switched/discrete output and those with analog output for sensing distance to a target. Typical applications for proximity mode are product presence, product counting, level control, roll diameter, and web-loop control. Depending on the application, Hyde Park proximity mode can be used for product orientation or product inspection. The Hyde Park proximity products are offered with 12 mm, 18 mm, 30 mm bodies. Alternatives to these tubular products are small and large flat-pack design, and a dual-mount design.
Hyde Park proximity products range from ultra-functionality, to simplicity. Some models access and control this functionality from various user integrated/on-board push-buttons, dip switches, and potentiometers. Other models specify the software functionality as specified by part number. These products are essentially fixed, and have no field adjustability. Their popularity is that they can not be unintentionally altered in the field. Hyde Park also offers Field-configurable models, with no adjustments on them, but the functionality can be accessed and altered by the user, with a field-configuration device, to optimize the performance to meet the specific application needs.
The newest Hyde Park proximity product is a low-cost, less-featured model, with either discrete or analog outputs.
Hyde Park also offers a full line of through-beam models. Through-beam models consist of a separate sender and a separate receiver. Objects are sensed by blocking the beam from reaching the receiver. Through beam sensing offers the benefits of object sensing independent of distance, incident angle, and clarity. It is particularly suitable for the most contaminated environments. Through-beam mode sensors are on/off, discrete output only.
