For approximately 40 years, PULS has maintained the lead in the manufacture of premier switching power supplies. The product focus is to provide the industry with power supplies having the longest rated life, the most efficient, and the smallest size for the wattage. All of their products are DIN rail mount, which is the most preferred configuration for ease of installation or replacement.
In 2021, PULS announced the release of their “Fiepos”, a revolutionary new concept, a decentralized power supply. The Fiepos (Field Power Supply), is a unique approach that physically mounts the power supply nearest the load, keeping the low-voltage/higher current wiring and respective losses to a minimum. With a fully-enclosed unit design, and mounted nearest the actual load, this zero-cabinet concept allows more space in an existing control cabinet for other required products, or alternatively, facilitates specification of smaller control cabinets. It also keeps the power supply out in the open, away from other heat generating products found in typical control cabinets.r
The PULS Fiepos is available in [6] different 3-phase [FPT Series} models, consisting of [3] basic models & [3] E-fused models, as well as [1] single-phase [FPS Series] model. The E-Fused versions have their output channel priority assignable from 1 [highest] to 4 [lowest], and permit staggered activation of outputs in 100 ms increments.
PULS Fiepos is offered in 300 and 500 watt versions and are I/O Link compatible for performance monitoring and control. With their MOSFET configuration, the PULS Fiepos units can be connected in parallel for redundancy.
Additional protective features are 2.5 Joule (back-emf from downhill conveyors/loads) and MOV’s (voltage spikes).
