Application Areas

Exterior Penetrations:
Power and fiber cable entries into the exterior building envelope are common applications for purpose-designed seals. Without properly engineered solutions, these entries become an ingress point for water, resulting is a risk of damaging equipment or increasing humidity levels. In addition to sealing against water, these applications often need to meet fire requirements to reinstate the fire integrity of the structure. Roxtec seals meet these requirements while allowing future cable changes.

Underground Power and Fiber Pits/Vaults:
Underground power distribution and fiber networks in data centers must be protected against the constant threat of water. Every cable pit/vault or hand box represents a possible leak path and is a risk for the entire infrastructure. Our seals for underground use are ideal for sealing around power cables in duct banks, vaults and hand boxes.

Power Distribution:
Securing power supply and power distribution in data centers is critical for maintaining uptime. Seal cable bus and conduits, switchgear, generators and transformers to avoid equipment failure due to water ingress. In critical areas, Roxtec seals can also be used to prevent fire.
