The Hyde Park SM300 series ultrasonic sensor is ideal for sensing targets on a multi-lane conveyor because of its precise background suppression capabilities. It will not sense anything beyond the designated far sensing window limit, no matter how shiny, bright or reflective. The SM300 ultrasonic series is also ideal for sensing many different targets, from clear to opaque, and anywhere in between. Because ultrasonic sensors use sound (not light) to sense the target, they do not “burn thru or see thru” any clear material.
