The L- and M-Series potentiometer foot pedals provide a variable resistance output and can also include a switch. These foot controls can be used to vary the speed of motors when used with variable-speed motor drives and can also be used for other electronics applications. Contact the manufacturer of the motor speed drive to see what potentiometer resistance value, power requirement, and other specifications are required for your application (we cannot determine this for you).
There are two versions available: the L-Series, which has a spring-loaded momentary action (press to activate or adjust, release to return upright), and the M-Series, which has a maintained action (stays in place once you set it until further adjustment). The L-Series are ideal for applications such as pipe rollers, electric golf cart motors, turning wheels, and many more. The M-Series are ideal for pottery wheel foot pedals, adjusting the output level of music equipment, and similar applications.
A switch can also be added to the circuitry (available on the L-Series only). Adds “-S” to the end of the model number. The switch activates at the beginning of the pedal motion. The switch circuit is rated for extra low voltage (ELV) control circuits only (circuits that are electrically isolated from the main line).
Note: See the G700-Series for a potentiometer foot control with the heavy-duty construction of the G-Series, which includes a rugged housing and higher enclosure rating for oil-tight, water-tight, and dust-tight ratings (Enclosure Type 2, 4, & 13).

omentary action: Press and hold at desired level to use; spring returns pedal upright (to initial position) upon release. Maintained action: Stays in place once you set it; pedal will not move until further adjustment.
**Switch activates at beginning of pedal motion. Switch circuit is rated for extra low voltage (ELV) control circuits only (circuits that are electrically isolated from the main line). Available on L-Series only.
