The Puls Competitive Advantage

Power supplies are almost always used on industrial automation machinery.  The justification is that nearly all industrial machines require both higher voltages for the respective, larger loads, and lower voltages for the various sensors that are utilized.  Yes, some sensors are offered which operate from those higher voltages, but typically small size and fast response times dictate the need for the lower voltage, 10-30 VDC sensors.  Sensors are often changed out from time to time to determine if the sensor or some other component is faulty if they become physically damaged, or at end-of-life.  Their operation from lower voltages is considerably safer to the maintenance personnel than one which may operate directly from mains supply voltage; e.g., 110-220 vac.

PULS is a manufacturer of single and three-power supplies since approximately 1980.  They offer their power supplies with various mains supply voltage ratings, with all of the common, dc output voltages.  Included in their product offerings are also DC/DC Converters, Buffers, Redundancy & Protection Modules, Network Power Supplies, Circuit Protection Modules, and DC UPS Systems.  All PULS products are DIN rail mount for ease of installation, and replacement at end-of-life.

While there are the usual competitors, the most significant message that PULS delivers is that they have the longest rated life, the most efficient, and the smallest size/per watt in the industry.  These three values, offered in a single product, is what distinguishes PULS from their competitors.  To appreciate this distinction, just recognize that there is the usual distribution of competitors …. those that claim high-efficiencies, and those that claim long rated life, those that claim compact size, and advertised the lowest cost.   Imagine the former three in one product from PULS.  PULS does not offer products designed for “lowest cost”.
