After 32 years in sales, I have been occasionally asked an excellent question: Why should I buy Tri-Tronics? Of course, they are implying that with all the competitive offerings, why would someone give a serious consideration to Tri-Tronics? It begs the question, “What is unique about Tri-Tronics?”
I love the question, and my answer is immediate, and not rehearsed. I guess the question is only intimidating for those who are not as familiar with their product as perhaps they should be. I welcome this type of question as it gives me an opportunity to briefly explain how I really feel about Tri-Tronics, and why that may also be important to them.
(I refer to what I feel is the most unique product/feature that Tri-Tronics offers, the Smart-Eye sensor.)
My reply:
The Tri-Tronics Smart-Eye sensor has an industry unique feature, called the offset control, that provides near infinite resolution. Simply stated, the offset lets you position the sensor’s response wherever you want with respect to the switching point, without ever changing the gain of the sensor. The sensor operates at maximum gain all the time. The competition reduces the gain of their product to resolve applications, which reduces the ability to see the intended target as well.
Tri-Tronics uses an interchangeable optical block system on the majority of their sensors. Changing the optical block allows a single base sensor to be used in any sensing mode, reducing inventory.
Tri-Troniics has always offered the highest gain models in the industry, which enables sensing the least favorable colored objects in the proximity mode.
Tri-Tronics has offered the models with the fastest response time, and now some also with the highest repeatability, which facilitates sensing fast events, and the high repeatability translates to accuracy from event to event.
Tri-Tronics is simply: good product, from good people, has good support, good pricing, and good availability.
